2019 Poetry Out Loud National Semi-Finals

The National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation host the 2019 National Finals of Poetry Out Loud: National Recitation Contest, a program that encourages high school students to learn about great poetry through memorization and performance. On April 30, 53 state winners will compete in the national semi-finals and the chance to advance to the May 1 national finals where nine students will vie for the title of Poetry Out Loud National Champion and a $20,000 award.

The national semifinals will be webcast live at www.arts.gov.  The event is free and open to the public; no tickets or reservations are required.
