Filmmaker Wang Bing in conversation with "Fast Fashion" co-curator Phyllis Rosenzweig
Award-winning Chinese filmmaker Wang Bing will discuss his radical documentary 15 Hours with Phyllis Rosenzweig, curator emerita for the Smithsonian's Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, and co-curator of the exhibition Fast Fashion/Slow Art. Wang's film documents, in real time, a work day at a garment processing facility in Huzhou, China. Visit the exhibition before the program to catch part of this film and others exploring issues of waste, consumerism, and the human cost of mass production. This program is free, but please register online.
