Will Netanyahu Survive the COVID-19 Pandemic? On March 23, Israel will hold its 4th national election in two years, a recurring referendum on the indicted Prime Minister’s mandate to govern while on trial for corruption. Two 2019 elections proved inconclusive; a third produced a weak “national emergency” government that apparently succumbed to the pandemic it was meant to mitigate. Experts Dahlia Scheindlin, Natan Sachs and Shibley Telhami will analyze the results of round four, and their implications for Israel, the Palestinians, and the new U.S. administration.
