Celebrating 200 Years: GW Nursing Bicentennial Signature Event, Future of Nursing Panel

GW Nursing Bicentennial Signature Event, Future of Nursing Panel

Event Description

For GW Nursing's Bicentennial Signature Event, we will be hosting a panel discussion with several leaders who produced the Future of Nursing 2020-2030 Report, released on May 11th. Our signature event will be hosted virtually on Wednesday, September 15th at 12 noon.

We have confirmed panelists Sue Hassmiller from NAM and RWJF, and Marcus Henderson, lecturer at Penn Nursing and PhD Student at Johns Hopkins. Bev Malone, CEO of the NLN, and Deb Trautman, CEO of the AACN, will also join the panel to discuss the impact of the report on Nursing as a whole. GW Nursing's own Ashley Darcy-Mahoney will be the moderator, who is currently the NAM Nurse Scholar-in-Residence and who participated in producing the report.

The George Washington University’s bicentennial is an incredible, historic milestone. With 27,000+ students from more than 135 countries, a worldwide community of 300,000+ living alumni, and thousands of faculty and staff, the GW community is coming together to celebrate 200 years of phenomenal growth.
