City Managers: Local Leaders on the Front Lines of COVID Recovery

We’ve heard a lot about the tussles over COVID recovery strategies in Congress. But what does recovery look like for the government leaders spearheading the effort on the local level? Join the GW ICMA Student Chapter for a discussion with City Managers about their work leading communities through the COVID-19 pandemic, managing the unprecedented influx of federal funding through the CARES and ARP Acts, and visioning what their communities will look like in the future based on the lessons learned during the pandemic. The panel will be held virtually from 12 to 1 PM on Thursday, October 28.
