DESIGN+DISCOURSE brings together emerging, independent, and established scholars as part of an open intellectual platform where the decorative arts and design community shares and engages in dialogue connecting interdisciplinary subjects. Sessions are designed for scholars to present current research projects amongst colleagues and supportive individuals. Organized by the Master’s Program in Decorative Arts & Design History at GW’s Corcoran School of Arts & Design in partnership with the Smithsonian Associates, this lecture series is open to all, and we encourage the participation of students, alumni, faculty, and affiliates to submit abstracts and attend lectures. All lectures are free and open to the public.
