Designing for Films, with Annie Atkins

Annie Atkins

Due to the current situation around COVID-19, all Corcoran exhibitions and performances are canceled through the end of the semester.
The GW COVID-19 website is being updated regularly to include evolving guidance for the university community.

Thank you.

Annie Atkins is a graphic designer for film — she creates set props like signage and newspapers that the actors interact with on-screen. Some of her most notable work is from Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel and Stephen Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies. In this new talk — specifically made for AIGA NY and AIGA DC — she’ll talk about her experience in designing for film, show examples of her work, and share lessons learned from her creative practice.

Member tickets include a copy of Annie’s book, Fake Love Letters, Forged Telegrams, and Prison Escape Maps. General, non-member admission tickets may be purchased with and without the book. Be sure to show up early to have Annie sign your book!
