Join the CCAS Department of History and the Judaic Studies Program for this year’s Max Ticktin Memorial Lecture, delivered by Professor Derek Penslar, the William Lee Frost Professor of Jewish History at Harvard University. Penslar will speak about his new research project, "Global Reactions to the Partition of Palestine and the 1948 War."
Launched in 2017, the annual Max Ticktin Memorial Lecture is named after Rabbi and Professor Max Ticktin. Past lecturers include former ambassador Daniel C. Kurtzer, Prof. Max Waxman, Prof. Mira Sucharov, the novelist Ruby Namdar, and Prof. Shaul Magid. The Special Collections received the Max Ticktin Papers in 2023 and portions of the collection will be on display.
