 workshop\, we will describe what active learning is and why it is valuable
  before introducing a variety of active learning techniques that will work
  in many types of classrooms. You will leave with new strategies you can a
 pply in your teaching context and/or new applications for strategies you a
 lready use.\n\nThis workshop is presented by the Center for Teaching Excel
 lence (CTE). The CTE provides comprehensive\, integrated solutions for ins
 tructors in search of teaching solutions. If you need feedback on assignme
 nt or syllabus design\, advice on teaching methods\, or ideas for new acti
 vities\, consider booking a consultation with the CTE.\n\nAll sessions are
