About this Event
In July of 2022, the Virginia General Assembly enacted a Hazing Prevention Training Requirement for colleges and universities. George Washington University (GWU)’s Office of Student Life already provides Hazing Prevention Training to fraternities and sororities; however, this new legislation (also known as Adam’s Law) expands training requirements to include all officers, members, and advisors of organizations with a certain type of membership process.
To meet the requirements of Adam’s Law, the Office of Student Life will be hosting Enhanced Hazing Prevention Training, which is mandatory for you to attend. If your organization has a competitive membership process, all current and prospective members, as well as officers and advisors of the student organization, must attend one of these trainings for the organization to remain active and in good standing with the Office of Student Life at GWU. GWU community members may attend these training sessions without prior registration.
