At the close of Women's History Month, this panel brings together female leaders at the local level from northern regions of Sweden, Canada, and the US, with local and federal Indigenous leaders. The panel will discuss the challenges to northern communities posed by climate change, shifting geopolitical realities, and the rapid transition from fossil fuels to a new economy. Lunch will be available during the panel for guests attending in person.
This event is supported by GW's Cross Disciplinary Research Fund award, "The Nexus between Cities, Climate Change and Sustainability: Data Innovations and Quantitative Analyses," the Local Sustainable Governance Policy Lab, and the Sustainability Research Institute.
