Arizona State University's Melikian Center offers critical language learning opportunities to parallel the Critical Language Scholarship through its Critical Languages Institute (CLI). CLI is a national training institute for less commonly taught languages, offering summer intensive courses and study-abroad programs around the world.

Summer languages opportunities include: Albanian, Armenian, Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian (BCS), Kazakh, Macedonian, Persian, Polish, Russian, Tatar, Turkish, Ukranian, and Uzbek.
