It is 30 years since the adoption of the Beijing Platform for Action and we are seeing a resurgence in authoritarian regimes, who are emboldening each other to use women's bodies as political tools, setting back progress on women's rights, and endangering them and LGBTQAI+ populations. This panel highlights the cases of El Salvador, China, Hungary, and Brazil to discuss institutional and state-sponsored violence against women.
