Bar Success Wellness Program

Join the Bar Success Office for a series of events to relax and rejuvinate during bar exam preparation. The following will be available to those studying at the law school:

 

Breakfast: We will be providing a nutritious lunch in a grab and go style for students. The goal of this is to lift the burden of preparing breakfast, ensuring they have some nutrition in their diet, and also incorporating a touch point to check-in on students face-to-face.  

  • Time: 9:30 am - 10:30 am
  • Place: SCC

** On July 9 and 16, this will be held in Tasher

 

Yoga: Yoga mats will be provided. - This portion of the wellness programming is focused on bringing folks together and getting people moving. 

  • Time: 1 pm - 2 pm
  • Place: SCC

Wellness Walks (weather permitting): Similar to yoga, this is also focused on bringing folks together and getting them moving. Walking is one of the best low-impact forms of exercise and provides a variety of health benefits. Here, we are also focusing on using this as another touch-point to connect with students to check-in. 

  • Time: 3 pm - 3:30 pm
  • Place: Meet at the corner of G St. and 20th St.

 

Breathe. Focus. Pass. Wellness Workshops: Deedee Cummings, an attorney, therapist, and author who blends legal experience with mental health expertise to help future lawyers prepare for the Bar exam with clarity and resilience, will host workshops for students. Cummings is the creator of Breathe. Focus. Pass.™, a mindfulness-based workshop designed to support mental wellness during bar prep.

  • Time: 6 pm - 6:45 pm
  • Place: Virtual; Check back for a zoom link

** No sessions on June 4th or July 2nd.
