Join the Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program (WGSS), the Gender Equality Initiative in International Affairs (GEIA), the Global Women's Institute (GWI), and the Student Consortium on Women, Peace and Security for a panel discussion on careers advancing gender equity. 

Panelists will include experts in local government, international development and humanitarian response, and other fields. The discussion will focus on guidance for students and early-career professionals who seek to build careers advancing gender equity. A networking reception with light refreshments will follow the panel discussion. GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni are welcome to attend.

  • Natasha Dupee, Executive Director of the Mayor's Office on Women's Policy and Initiatives, Washington, D.C. (WGSS BA '12 and MPH '22)
  • Leora Ward, Senior Director, Gender and Protection in Emergencies at CARE 
  • Amanda Van Dort, Division Chief for Policy, Planning, and Public Diplomacy in the Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues (S/GWI) at the U.S. Department of State
  • Manuel Contreras-Urbina, Global Lead on Gender-Based Violence, World Bank
