Join GW alumni‚ parents and friends for a the relaunch of Culture Buffs with a morning at The MET.
The event will begin with a breakfast reception and panel discussion led by Nana Agyemang‚ CEO‚ EveryStylishGirl‚ BA ’16 and Quito Swan‚ Professor of Africana Studies and History. After breakfast our group will enjoy a guided tour of the museum’s fashion exhibition and Superfine: Tailoring Black Style—the Costume Institute’s Spring 2025 showcase exploring Black dandyism and its influence on fashion over the past three centuries. Discover how style has shaped Black identities across the Atlantic diaspora‚ from the 18th century to the present day.
This special experience offers a rich intersection of fashion‚ history‚ and culture at one of New York City’s most iconic institutions. Tickets to this event are $35 per person and includes breakfast and your musuem ticket.
