The two-day conference aims to bring together GW faculty and students, as well as fiscal experts and practitioners, to create a platform for knowledge sharing on fiscal policies, legal frameworks, and other key issues.

Day 1

Maya MacGuineas, President of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, will provide keynote remarks to conclude the first day. We will explore various issues across both Korean and the U.S. contexts, including:

  • Fiscal policy amid global uncertainty;
  • global trade policy shifts;
  • demographic challenges.

Day 2

Douglas Holtz-Eakin, President of American Action Forum, will provide keynote remarks to kick off the second day. We will explore various issues across both Korean and the U.S. contexts, including:

  • Policy challenges for the United States;
  • debt management;
  • innovation policy and R&D;
  • geopolitics;
  • energy and fiscal policy;
  • artificial intelligence.
