About this Event

Peer Educators will learn how to use several researched based models to structure their sessions with students. During the workshop, we will practice these models in mock sessions and attendees will leave having tools for structuring their sessions.
This workshop is part of the Strategies for Effective Peer Education series to provide peer tutors and learning assistants with the knowledge and skills to help students master challenging course content, strengthen foundational skills, and meet diverse student needs. This series is facilitated by Academic Commons, which is certified through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA), an internationally recognized organization that certifies tutor training programs within institutions of higher education.
All sessions are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. GW has an institutional commitment to ensuring that all of our programs and events are accessible for all individuals. If you require any accommodations to participate in this event, please contact libraryevents@gwu.edu at least 72 business hours (3 business days) prior to the event.
In-person attendance of this workshop is open to anyone whose GWorld allows them to tap into Gelman Library.
