  marks the fifth anniversary of the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. \n\nEv
 ent Details\n\nSheryl Gay Stolberg is a Washington Correspondent at the Ne
 w York Times\, covering the intersection of health policy and politics. In
  nearly three decades at the Times\, she covered health\, Congress\, the W
 hite House (George W. Bush and Barack Obama) and national politics before 
 returning to cover health policy when the coronavirus pandemic hit. Her st
 ories focus on policy debates over issues including vaccination\, reproduc
 tive rights\, gun violence prevention\, the ethics of virology research an
 d the cost of prescription drugs. She is writing a book\, tentatively titl
 ed "Contagion of Mistrust\," that explores how the partisanship that divid
 es America has affected the nation's health.\n\nWith remarks by Lynn Goldm
 an\, dean of the Milken Institute School of Public Health\, and Holden Tho
 rp\, editor-in-chief of Science and professor of chemistry at GW. \n\nThis
