 six different courses. Fall courses included: Developing Young Artists\, I
 ntro to Character Design\, Digital Design II\, Art & Action\, Archi-builde
 r and Portfolio Development from conceptualizing and building museums with
  partners at The Washington Architectural Foundation\; building fine arts 
 skills\; and exploring how art can be used as a tool to communicate messag
 es of unity\, peace\, and leadership.\n\nAdditionally\, while learning how
  to construct their portfolios and working with local artists from SWAG Wo
 rks DC\, high school students in the ArtReach GW Portfolio Development pro
 gram strengthened their observational drawing\, portrait and figure painti
 ng\, landscape painting and abstract art skills. Students in Digital Desig
 n explored the intersection between community and design by reimagining th
 e visitor center at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in collaboration with archi
 tects from KTGY. In order to build an animated character from conception t
 o completion\, students in the Introduction to Character Design course stu
 died anatomy\, posing\, shape language\, and expression. Classes were led 
 by local artists Simone Agoussoye\, Courtney Davis (ArtReach Alum)\, Leah 
 Young (GW Corcoran College of Arts and Design Alum) and SWAG Works DC.\n\n
 Join us for the opening celebration on Thursday\, December 14 from 6 to 8 
 pm to celebrate the power of art\, community and connection. Light refresh

 sign’s Gallery 102 presents artwork from youth in the ArtReach GW progra
 m. DC elementary\, middle and high school youth in the ArtReach GW Fall 20
 23 program explored a range of art mediums\, methods and concepts through 
 six different courses. Fall courses included: Developing Young Artists\, I
 ntro to Character Design\, Digital Design II\, Art & Action\, Archi-builde
 r and Portfolio Development from conceptualizing and building museums with
  partners at The Washington Architectural Foundation\; building fine arts 
 skills\; and exploring how art can be used as a tool to communicate messag
 es of unity\, peace\, and leadership.\n\nAdditionally\, while learning how
  to construct their portfolios and working with local artists from SWAG Wo
 rks DC\, high school students in the ArtReach GW Portfolio Development pro
 gram strengthened their observational drawing\, portrait and figure painti
 ng\, landscape painting and abstract art skills. Students in Digital Desig
 n explored the intersection between community and design by reimagining th
 e visitor center at Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in collaboration with archi
 tects from KTGY. In order to build an animated character from conception t
 o completion\, students in the Introduction to Character Design course stu
 died anatomy\, posing\, shape language\, and expression. Classes were led
