CPT (Curricular Practical Training) allows eligible F-1 students to work in internships, field placements, or other practical experiences directly related to their field of study, as long as the training is a required part of their academic program or earns academic credit. To get CPT, F-1 students must receive authorization. It is important to note that F-1 students cannot work off-campus in any capacity, paid or unpaid, without prior authorization, and violation can seriously jeopardize your F-1 status.

Whether you're planning ahead for your 1L summer or looking to integrate practical training into your academic path, this session will give you the tools, clarity, and confidence to take your next step.

All international 1Ls are encouraged to attend, along with any 2L/3L/4LE F-1 students who need a refresher.
