Please join us for this session of the Fall 2023 Responsible Conduct of Research Seminar Series featuring distinguished speaker:
Ms. Lescano will provide insights on promoting equity and fairness in research collaborations, particularly those involving partners from Low- and Middle-Income Countries and underserved communities, engaging attendees in discussion around how to ensure trustworthy research through equitable partnerships.
Following this session, attendees will:
acquire knowledge regarding guidelines for equitable collaboration and collaborative agreements;
understand principles of ethics, integrity, fairness, and transparency in building, equitable partnerships across boundaries;
be able to define roles and responsibilities of individual partners and teams in research collaborations, particularly related to authorship, ownership, communication, and conflict resolution.
This session is open to faculty, postdocs, students, and staff at GW, Children’s National, and academic institutions in the D.C. region. It is designed to help attendees meet the Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research training requirements set by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and other federal agencies.
