DESCRIPTION:The George Washington University's Institute for Racial\, Ethni
 c\, and Socioeconomic Equity (Equity Institute) is hosting a convening on 
 March 18\, from 12–3:30 PM\, focused on addressing systemic barriers to 
 health and well-being through community-driven solutions and cross-sector 
 collaboration. The convening will feature three sessions:\n\nFireside Chat
 : Health equity experts will discuss how structural factors impact health 
 outcomes and explore the potential of systems thinking as a tool for trans
 formative change.\n\nApplying Systems Thinking for Systems Change: Partici
 pants will learn to apply systems thinking in a real world context by iden
 tifying systemic barriers that perpetuate place-based social and health in
 equities. This hands-on session will foster collaboration in co-developing
  real-world solutions. Key insights will be captured through live graphic 
 recording and discussion.\n\nTranslating Research to Action: Closing the n
 ation's ever growing health and wealth gaps requires translation of resear
 ch into action. In this lively discussion with elected leaders\, foundatio
 ns\, researchers and community leaders we will share concrete strategies f
 or building systems\, policies and practice aimed at driving meaningful an
 d measurable change.\n\nWith a focus on interactive discussions\, advocacy
  tools\, and community-driven solutions\, this convening provides a compre
 hensive approach to understanding and addressing long-standing systems dri
