Join the GW Alliance for a Sustainable Future, the REACH Center, the Redstone Global Center, and the GMU Institute for a Sustainable Earth for an interdisciplinary event exploring extreme weather and its impacts on people and communities on March 25th from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. The program will begin with 20 minutes of lightning-style presentations from researchers on topics such as wildfires, emergency management, climate-related infectious disease, and ecology and health, highlighting ongoing research and emerging challenges. The presentations will be followed by a facilitated discussion focused on identifying connections across disciplines, exploring gaps in current research, and discussing opportunities to align current work with emerging federal funding priorities. The conversation will also consider potential grant ideas and pathways for future interdisciplinary collaboration.

Faculty, staff, students, and partners are encouraged to attend and participate. This event will be held in a hybrid format: In person at the GW Milken Institute School of Public Health, Executive Case Study Room (700A), or if attending via Zoom, the link will be provided upon registration. Lunch will be provided to those in person. Registration is required.
