About this Event
The war in Ukraine is reshaping global power dynamics and profoundly impacting millions, especially Ukrainians who are enduring the full force of Russia's brutal invasion. Among them, women face distinct challenges, balancing the harsh realities of war with efforts to maintain some semblance of civilian life. While men in Ukraine are largely restricted from leaving or moving freely due to the threat of conscription, women are not subject to these limitations. Their choices are deeply personal, influenced by their convictions and the evolving circumstances they face. Through the stories of three women artists, we will examine how their decisions have affected both their lives and their art, and whether it is possible to remain resilient and even find new meaning in the midst of such turmoil.
