About this Event
725 21st St, NW
How can research about motivation --including motivation to use AI -- guide writing assignment design in an age of AI? First, Karen Singer-Freeman, Associate Dean of Teaching and Learning Excellence, will offer approaches based on scholarship about teaching and learning. Then Phyllis Ryder & Carol Hayes, from GW’s University Writing Program, will help participants apply this motivation theory to writing assignments. How do we motivate students to see the struggle of writing in an age of AI as a form of learning? How can we scaffold this motivation into our lessons and rubrics?
A light lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by noon on December 12th so that we can order lunch!
