Winter Necessities Drive

GW has partnered with DC Public Schools to collect winter necessities for local students and their families. Your contribution will ensure that every child in DC stays warm as they go to school in the winter months. Donate new socks, gloves, mittens, and winter hats for children, teenagers, and adults. 

Donation stations will be available at the Virginia Campus and Foggy Bottom Winter Celebrations.  If you would like to contribute but are unable to attend the events, you may drop off items at the Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement at Public Service (2300 H Street, NW), through December 22.

Give-A-Gift 

Participate in Give-A-Gift, GW's annual winter season initiative. We partner with DC organizations to identify specific families in need of gifts for the holiday season.  To sponsor a family or individual with your department or on your own, visit our website.

All unwrapped gifts must be delivered to the University Student Center Grand Ballroom or Enterprise Hall on Wednesday, December 6. Every year, we have more requests than we can meet — please support your neighbors by giving a gift this year!
