About this Event
Whether it's widening inequality between cities and the countryside or the rise of joblessness among Chinese youth, we've all heard about some of the major issues plaguing Chinese society. But what is at the source of these structural tensions? To help us discuss and unravel these complex subjects, USCSSO will be hosting a critical reading and discussion series of Liu Xiaobo's 2012 book, No Enemies, No Hatred, a compilation of some of his most seminal essays ranging from topics on Chinese domestic politics, culture, and foreign policy.
The series will span across four weekly sessions as we openly discuss Liu's essays and thoughts with a critical lens. Those with a strong interest in this subject are encouraged to participate as we welcome all opinions so sign up today!
