All are invited to a photographic poster session where students in the Food, Flow, Photography course will showcase their final projects!

This unique class, supported by the Global Food InstituteMechanical & Aerospace Engineering, and Corcoran School of the Arts & Design, brings science and art together. Students reveal the hidden physics of fluid flows (gases and liquids) through the art of cooking. They experimented with techniques to visualize flows in soups, sauces, mocktails, coffee, tea, caramelization, and more. It is science you can see and art you can feel.

Flow visualization is all around us: if you have paid attention to the patterns while stirring milk into coffee, the curl of smoke, or the dance of bubbles in boiling water, you have participated in flow visualization. Please join us to explore the students’ work, enjoy incredible images, and discover resources for teachers and students of all levels. Whether you love science, cooking, or just beautiful photography, there is something here for you!

Mark your calendar and prepare to be amazed!
