About this Event
2201 G Street NW, Washington DC 20052
We're excited to announce our second simulation of the 2023-2024 academic year, in partnership with the National Churchill Leadership Center! In Frozen Accord, participants must work to de-escalate a growing crisis between Russia and the United States.
In 2028, Russia, under new political leadership, is blindsided by sudden protests demanding independence in the vital exclave of Kaliningrad. Concerns regarding the source of this radical new movement lead Russia to increase its military presence in the Baltic Sea and along its western border. This prompts the United States and NATO to hold naval exercises in the Baltic Sea. Meanwhile, protests in Kaliningrad continue to grow as the diplomatic situation worsens. Tensions are running high, and participants must work within their government to prevent war from breaking out while also keeping an eye on their political aims.
Frozen Accord will take place on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 from 11:00 AM EST to 4:30 PM EST. This simulation will be held in-person at GWU's Funger Hall, 2201 G St NW. Fill out the form here (https://go.gwu.edu/frozenaccord) to reserve your spot! If you need to arrive late or leave early, please indicate so on the sign-up form. Student status is not required to attend this event.
