The GW Global Clinical Care Alliance (GCCA) seeks to forge connections, synergies, and opportunities for partnership among clinicians from across GW pursuing all aspects of global health and representing the full spectrum medical specialties, to lead projects ranging from educational capacity-building, to clinical service delivery, and traditional research partnerships.

Outcomes & Impact: Inaugural Global Health Legacy Fellows

Please join the GW Global Clinical Care Alliance (GCCA) at noon on Thursday, July 9, 2026, for a webinar featuring our three inaugural Global Health Legacy Fellows from 2025–26.

Our fellows will present the outcomes and impact of their year-long, health-focused projects conducted alongside international colleagues:

  • Timothy Singer, MD, MS (Neurosurgery): Neural Tube Defects in a Changing Climate: Systems, Surgery, and Preparedness in Tanzania
     
  • Rizul Naithani, DO, MPH (Ophthalmology): Advancing Glaucoma Care and Quality of Life in Southern India
     
  • Jerry Oommen, DO (Emergency Medicine): Scaling Up Emergency Resuscitation in Uganda: Simulation, POCUS, and Team-Based Training for ReACT Teams
