About this Event
In this workshop we will address how generative Artificial Intelligence (genAI) offers a new take on personalized student learning. Unlike years past where personalized learning involved big IT systems and instructors tailoring plans for individuals, genAI provides students opportunities to learn in their own way. Along with discussion, we will highlight strategies and tools students can use with genAI to learn, including demonstrating these with various prompts. This workshop is at the introductory level, which means that it assumes no prior knowledge.
Participants will be using OpenAI ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot throughout the workshop.
This workshop is part of the Exploring Generative AI series for GW community members looking to engage meaningfully with generative AI as a tool for teaching, learning, and research. Workshops are available for individuals with a variety of experience (or lack thereof) with generative AI tools.
All sessions are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. GW has an institutional commitment to ensuring that all of our programs and events are accessible for all individuals. If you require any accommodations to participate in this event, please contact libraryevents@gwu.edu at least 72 business hours (3 business days) prior to the event.
