DESCRIPTION:In this workshop we will address how generative Artificial Inte
 lligence (genAI) offers a new take on personalized student learning. Unlik
 e years past where personalized learning involved big IT systems and instr
 uctors tailoring plans for individuals\, genAI provides students opportuni
 ties to learn in their own way. Along with discussion\, we will highlight 
 strategies and tools students can use with genAI to learn\, including demo
 nstrating these with various prompts. This workshop is at the introductory
  level\, which means that it assumes no prior knowledge.\n\nParticipants w
 ill be using OpenAI ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot throughout the workshop.
 \n\nThis workshop is part of the Exploring Generative AI series for GW com
 munity members looking to engage meaningfully with generative AI as a tool
  for teaching\, learning\, and research. Workshops are available for indiv
 iduals with a variety of experience (or lack thereof) with generative AI t
 ools.\n\nAll sessions are free to GW students\, faculty\, staff\, and alum
 ni. GW has an institutional commitment to ensuring that all of our program
