Gary Cunningham, Ph.D., is a researcher at Children's National Research Institute and is gracious enough to come to discuss his groundbreaking genetics research! Gary has discovered a new way to sequence amino acids in people's DNA, which has applications for people with sickle cell disease and many rare diseases with and without genetic components. He has been asked to speak internationally regarding his research but has decided to come speak to us too! In addition, Gary has a few summer openings in his lab and can discuss what that would look like for those interested.
