 rt virtual workshop series titled "Grant Proposal Planning and Writing in 
 a Changing Federal Funding Landscape”.\n\nThe sessions will take place o
 n Zoom on Wednesday(s) June 4th and June 11th from 11:00 am-2:00 pm. The g
 oal of these sessions is to provide participants with the fundamentals and
  best practices in grant development while offering tips on the grant seek
 ing approach in response to recent changes in the federal funding landscap
 e.\n\n \n\nSession 1: Finding Grant Funding\nWednesday June 4\, 2025\; 11:
 00 am–2:00 pm\nIn this session\, after an overview of the grant seeking 
 process\, you will learn how to find grant funding to support your researc
 h\, teaching\, and public service activities in today's environment. A fou
 r-step process will help match your needs with sponsor priorities\, allowi
 ng you to pick the sponsors that have the highest probability of funding y
 our initiatives. From this session you will learn how to: tell a financial
  story\; identify basic resources for identifying sponsors\; understand sp
 onsors’ “values glasses” and match your needs with sponsor funding p
 riorities.\n\n \n\nSession 2: Persuasive Proposal Writing\nWednesday June 
 11\, 2025\; 11:00 am–2:00 pm\nIn this session you will learn what sponso
 rs expect to see in a grant proposal – and how to write persuasively in 
 today's environment. Micro case studies will illustrate writing pitfalls a
 nd stimulate discussion about ways to improve your narrative. From this se
 ssion you will learn how to: describe the primary elements in grant propos
 als\; recognize the types of details that sponsors expect\; appeal effecti
 vely to grant reviewers and avoid common grant proposal writing mistakes.\
 n\n \n\nWorkshop Facilitator\nThe workshops will be facilitated by Jeremy 
 T. Miner\, M.A.\, of Miner and Associates and the University of Wisconsin.
  In addition to developing and administering proposals to public and priva
 te sponsors\, Miner has served as a federal grant reviewer and helped priv
 ate foundations streamline their grant guidelines. His successful grant wr
 iting techniques have generated millions of grant dollars for many nonprof
 its.\n\n \n\nRegistration is required for attendance.
