Green Move-Out, a major university initiative, makes the residence hall move-out process more environmentally- and community-friendly through a multifaceted donation drive! Bins are set up in the lobbies of residential halls to collect the following items for donation:

• Clothing
• Lightly used shoes
• School supplies and books
• Toys and games
• Kitchenware
• Small household furniture and appliances (not broken or defective)
• Non-perishable food items 

These items are then bagged by student volunteers and donated daily to local charity partners. Every year, Green Move-Out diverts over 65,000 pounds of reusable goods from landfills. This initiative is made possible through support from students, staff, student staff, and faculty volunteers.
