Join the George Washington University Alliance for a Sustainable Future and President Ellen M. Granberg at a celebration of creativity, scholarship and leadership to advance a more sustainable way of life for the health of our planet.
The dynamic program will include a roundtable discussion with GW faculty members Susan Anenberg, Saniya LeBlanc and David Rain, moderated by Provost Christopher Alan Bracey, about the local and global impacts of their cutting-edge research at the intersection of sustainability, environmental and occupational health, engineering, geography and technology.
Frank Sesno, Executive Director of the Alliance, will host a keynote conversation with United States Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), co-founder and co-chair of the bipartisan Senate Climate Solutions Caucus, about the policy landscape and potential strategies to address the impacts and causes of our changing climate.
The event will conclude with the East Coast premiere of Sacred Place, a choral work celebrating our relationship with the earth. This one–of–a–kind experience will feature the University Singers and vocal and instrumental soloists, led by Corcoran faculty member Erin Freeman.
To be followed by a reception in the Grand Ballroom of the University Student Center.
