DESCRIPTION:GW Research for a Sustainable and Equitable Future\n\nThis cele
 bration will explore the diverse scholarly endeavors undertaken across the 
 George Washington University (GW)\, all focused on addressing complex chall
 enges and fostering innovation to create a more resilient and just world. S
 tudents\, postdocs\, faculty and staff will present a broad array of resear
 ch and university-wide initiatives on this year’s theme of sustainability a
 nd equity.\n\n \n\nThe event is open to the entire campus community\, alumn
 i\, employer partners\, external collaborators and the public.\n\n \n\nRegi
 ster to Attend\n\n \n\nThe theme of this year’s GW Research Showcase is “GW
  Research for a Sustainable and Equitable Future.” GW experts are researchi
 ng ethnoracial and socioeconomic disparities in access to medical care and 
 health outcomes\, municipal infrastructure\, criminal penalties\, and ambie
 nt air pollution\, among numerous other projects. Our scholars collaborate 
 with communities in D.C.\, the Arctic circle and beyond to explore topics i
 ncluding climate change and its health impacts\, energy transitions and ren
 ewable energy manufacturing\, urban resilience\, and the impacts of tourism
  on nature\, commerce and culture.\n\n \n\nThe GW Research Showcase program
  includes:\n\nStudent and Postdoc Posters: Meet and engage with approximate
 ly 50 postdoc and student poster presenters from across GW’s schools and co
 lleges.A Display of Faculty Books: View a sampling of books relevant to thi
 s year’s theme. Several authors will be present to discuss their scholarshi
 p.Institute Sessions: Hear updates directly from leaders of university-wide
  research institutes and initiatives related to ethnoracial and socioeconom
 ic equity\, sustainability\, trustworthy artificial intelligence\, global g
 ender equality and more!Lab and Facility Tours: Get behind-the-scenes looks
  at laboratories and facilities where groundbreaking research is being cond
