About this Event
2130 H Street NW, Washington DC 20052
In this workshop, we will delve into human-centric pedagogies and discover how generative Artificial Intelligence (genAI) can enhance these experiences. Seven pedagogies will be highlighted: personalized learning, student agency and choice, experiential and authentic learning, collaborative and social learning, differentiated instruction, flexible learning environments, and formative assessment and feedback. We will dig deeper into three of these and present ways genAI may be applied to elevate the learning experience. This session aims to help you consider ways to leverage genAI for bolstering curiosity, relationships, and responsibility. This workshop is introductory, some experience working with genAI tools (e.g ChatGPT) is useful but is not required.
This workshop is part of the Partner with Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) series for GW instructors looking to explore the myriad ways in which GAI can help in your classroom, from personalized learning to helping you develop materials. Workshops in this series are sponsored by the Instructional Core. The Instructional Core provides comprehensive, integrated solutions for instructors in search of teaching solutions. If you need feedback on assignment or syllabus design, advice on teaching methods, or ideas for new activities, consider booking a consultation with the Instructional Core.
This workshop is part of the Exploring Generative AI series for GW community members looking to engage meaningfully with generative AI as a tool for teaching, learning, and research. Workshops are available for individuals with a variety of experience (or lack thereof) with generative AI tools.
All sessions are free to GW students, faculty, staff, and alumni. GW has an institutional commitment to ensuring that all of our programs and events are accessible for all individuals.
