This Saturday, March 1st, we will be attending the University of Maryland – College Park’s annual powwow at Ritchie Coliseum. Doors open at 11 AM, and the event runs until 5 PM. Powwows are a beautiful celebration of Indigenous traditions, dance, music, and community, and we encourage everyone to come and experience it. There will be vendors and an art market so feel free to bring money if you want! Make sure to bring a water bottle, to stay hydrated.

We will be leading a group from DC to the UMD campus. Our plan is to meet outside the Foggy Bottom Metro Stop at 9:30 AM and travel together from there. Feel free to invite friends—anyone outside of SINAR is welcome to attend! You do not need to be Indigenous to join, but we ask that all attendees come with an open mind and a willingness to respect and appreciate Indigenous cultures.
