We invite you to join the Justice Innovation Lab for an essential discussion on how the outcome of the 2024 U.S. Presidential election will have profound implications for the future of criminal justice reform.

Two weeks after the election, this event will bring together leading voices in the criminal justice reform movement to reflect on the election results and what they signal for the future. Our distinguished speakers include:

  • DeRay Mckesson – Civil rights activist, author of On the Other Side of Freedom: The Case for Hope, and host of Pod Save the People
  • Hawk Newsome – Co-founder of Black Lives Matter of Greater New York, Black Opportunities, and the Black Agenda 2024
  • Astead Herndon – National politics reporter for The New York Times and host of The Run-Up podcast, who covered Kamala Harris's 2019 presidential campaign

Moderated by Jarvis Idowu, GW Law Adjunct Professor

This is a critical opportunity to engage with the people shaping the conversation on innovation, equity, and justice. Your voice matters as we explore what the next four years could mean for criminal justice reform.
