Join the GW Institute for Korean Studies for our next installment of our Korea Policy Forum, featuring former Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin, in collaboration with the Institute for International Economic Policy (IIEP) and the East Asia National Resource Center (NRC). The former Minister will present on his topic, "Perspectives on the U.S.-ROK Alliance after the U.S. Presidential Election".

In the wake of the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election, both the United States and the Republic of Korea anticipate significant shifts in the political landscape. While both nations remain committed to upholding the principles, policies, and spirit established at Camp David, it is important to consider the evolving perspectives on their bilateral relationship, as well as the trajectory of trilateral alliances. Drawing on his extensive experience as a former Minister of Foreign Affairs and long-serving member of the National Assembly of Korea, former Minister Park Jin will share his insights on the future of the U.S.-ROK alliance and the impact of the election on bilateral relations and exchanges.
