About this Event
In D.C.'s neighboring Prince George's County, dogs are labeled by a breed that best matches their appearance. If a dog is labeled as a "pitbull" breed (American Pitbull Terrier, Staffordshire Terrier, American Bully), the dog cannot be adopted out to county residents, regardless of its temperament. This is an OUTRAGE and only promotes negative stigma around the breed that makes up about 1/3 of the total animal shelter intake population across the United States (PetSmart Charities). We may not be able to help every animal in the nation, but we can start but fighting animal injustices in our own backyards. Join us from 12-2 pm on April 19th and make your voice heard.
