About this Event
The CCAS Corcoran School of the Arts & Design invites you to join us for an online information session about our new MFA in Social Practice.
Carmen Montoya, associate professor and graduate advisor for Social Practice, will speak with you about this unique MFA program and how to apply. Our program has an emphasis on public policy with the goal of empowering the next generation of artists to bring their studio practice to bear on questions of social justice.
You’ll learn about our curriculum, which is fundamentally interdisciplinary, how our program allows you the freedom to hybridize the fields in which you are active, and how we prepare you to think critically, evaluate compassionately, and create inventively in order to bring about ethical social change. As part of this session, you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about our program and the application process.
