The Military and Veteran Services Office and GW Vets present the annual Military Mile Memorial March (M4) which honors the past and celebrates the future of military-affiliated students at GW.
This family-friendly event kicks off at the Military Community Center (2035 F St, NW, Washington, D.C. 20052) with a Run/Walk through the National Mall and its memorial parks, followed by the chance to greet veterans from the Honor Flight. After the Run/Walk join us for a BBQ social at the MCC for food, music and games. This is a great time to get to know GW’s military affiliated community!
Schedule:
The walking group will leave the MCC at 0830 and visit Vietnam Memorial > Korean War Memorial > D.C. War Memorial > WWII Memorial
The running group will leave the MCC at 0845 and visit the D.C. War Memorial > Korean War Memorial > Vietnam Memorial > WWII Memorial
Both groups will meet at the WWII memorial at 1005. We will greet the honor flight attendees at 1015 in front of the WWII memorial. Around 1030, we will return to the MCC and enjoy some BBQ, games, and music!
