About this Event
The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum is pleased to invite you to a four-part professional development workshop series for students interested in a career in museums, the arts, or other cultural institutions. Each session of the workshop will focus on improving one aspect of your application materials to give you the best chances of landing an interview for your next job. The series will conclude with a resume review with department heads from The GW Museum and The Textile Museum.
In this session, you’ll have the opportunity to think about your resume and your cover letter as tools to land you an interview. Led by museum director John Wetenhall and curator of education Lori Katchner, the workshop will guide you through how to effectively convey yourself in a resume and a cover letter -- and what should be included in each.
The museum will provide light snacks and drinks during the workshop. This series is open to all GW students, so use this opportunity to meet peers with similar interests across programs such as museum studies, museum education, anthropology, archeology, history, religion studies, and more!
Join us afterwards for a happy hour at Tonic!
