Meeting (In person attendance is encouraged) to discuss  Navigating the Fut
ure of Public Health: The Ethical Implications of Polygenic Scores.\n\nPoly
genic scores (PGS) have the potential to revolutionize public health by pre
dicting disease risk and social traits based on genetics. However\, they al
so raise significant ethical concerns\, such as the possibility of exacerba
ting health justice\, fostering genetic discrimination\, and promoting biol
ogical determinism. It is crucial to address these ethical challenges to en
sure that genetic advancements are accessible and beneficial for everyone.
As PGS becomes more prevalent\, policymakers\, researchers\, and healthcare
providers must prioritize privacy and justice. The decisions made today wi
ll determine whether PGS helps reduce disparities or serves only the privil
