Welcome to Fraternity and Sorority Life at GW! If you’ve recently joined a fraternity or sorority, the New Member Retreat is your next step—and it’s required.

This full-day experience is your opportunity to dive deeper into what it truly means to be part of the fraternity and sorority community. You’ll explore the national and local history of these organizations, understand the values that continue to shape Greek Life today, and have honest conversations about hazing prevention and outdated traditions that no longer reflect who we are.

Led by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, this retreat is also a chance to connect with new members from other chapters and councils, share your experiences, and start building a more inclusive, supportive community.

Check-in begins at 9:00 AM, and you must attend the full event to receive credit—so mark your calendar, bring your energy, and get ready to grow.
