Night of Light is a community event and opportunity for young Muslims to convene and listen to the recitation of the Qur’an in Arabic and reflect on its translation with licensed Muslim scholars and reciters. The objective of this event is to strengthen the connection of attendees to the Quran and see it as a source of light and comfort, and a text to be actively engaged with and reflected upon. The program will begin with an introduction to the chapter being recited and reciters taking turns reciting sections of a Quranic chapter. After each recitation, a licensed Quranic teacher and scholar will share reflections and teachings from the recited section. This process will repeat until the chapter’s recitation is finished, after which the program will end.
