The Nuclear Science Advisory Committee (NSAC), which includes GW faculty among its membership, was tasked by NSF and DOE in 2022 to produce a Long-Range Plan for the next decade of nuclear science research in the United States. The recommendations made in the 2023 Long-Range Plan direct the physics and large-scale facilities which will be supported to maintain U.S. leadership in cutting-edge nuclear science in the coming decade.
